2. Product overview

The CG2072 Cable Termination Fault Monitoring Device for Ring Main Units (RMUs) is an online temperature monitoring device designed for ring main unit cable terminations. It monitors the temperature changes of the incoming/outgoing cable joints in the ring main unit in real time to realize over-temperature alarm of the cable joints and prompt the specific location of the alarm, making it convenient for maintenance personnel to find the fault point and prevent insulation aging, short circuit and other faults caused by overheating. It is suitable for power systems, industrial power distribution and other applications.

·Precise monitoring and intelligent control

High-precision sensing: temperature accuracy: ±1°C (-40℃ ~ +85℃)

Intelligent control mode: The temperature sensor is installed in a strap-style, and the temperature information is transmitted by wireless radio frequency. It supports multi-channel monitoring (3 to 24 temperature measurement points) and covers the key parts of the three-phase cable connector.

· Intelligent early warning and alarm

Configurable alarm thresholds: user-customizable high-temperature alarm thresholds. Alarm triggers when any phase temperature exceeds ambient temperature by the preset threshold, or temperature difference between any two phases surpasses the configured limit

Multi-level alarm: notify maintenance personnel through audible/visual alerts and real-time data transmission

·Data recording and analysis

Built-in storage chip to record historical temperature data (support ≥30 days storage) and support temperature change trend analysis.

·Low power consumption and anti-interference design of the sensor

CT power supply, power consumption: less than 1W, starting current <= 10A

Anti-interference design: waterproof and dustproof, resistant to high-voltage electromagnetic environment, suitable for complex working conditions.
